How to Convert Live Photos into GIF
Live Photos is a stand-out new feature that comes along with Apple’s new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Now users can capture animated photos using the mobile camera. The Live Photo is like a GIF animation; however, it is not actually a conventional GIF file. It needs to click to play and hold on it using 3D Touch.
And one big problem with Live Photos on iPhone 6s is that they can only be viewed on devices running iOS 9 or OS X EI Captian. Therefore, if you want to share them directly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or to a friend who is non-Apple user, you need to create a GIF from a Live Photo manually. Here is how to do it easily!
How to Turn A Live Photo into A GIF ?
Step 1: Connect your iPhone to Mac via the USB cable.
Step 2: Open Image Capture if you are using Mac.
Step 3: A live Photo is combined with a JPEG file and a MOV file. Select the MOV files of the Live Photo you want to transform and download them to your Desktop.
Step 4: Open your GIF converter such as MakeAGIF.com. Just head over to the website and upload your file.
After that, you’ll need to select the length of your GIF. At last, click on the CREATE A GIF button, and then you can share or download your newly created GIF instantly.
Sometimes converting the Live Photos into GIF makes them even better, isn’t it? But if you want to send them to your friend or family member, you’d better covert the Live Photos to still image on iPhone beforehand which can save lots amount of space on your device.
