13 Useful iPhone Shortcuts and Quick-Access Features

1.Quick Access to Spotlight Search

Spotlight Search has integrated into every screen so that you can have easy access to this facility from just any home screen. All you need to do is to touch anywhere on the home screen (except for the toop edge), and then swipe down gently. Then the screen will drop down and the Spotlight field will reveal itself.

2.Take a Sneak Peek at Recently Taken Pictures

If you want to take a quick look at the pictures you have just taken, go to the Camera App and simply swipe the screen from left to right. Then the last picture taken will immediately pop up.

3.Scroll Up with the Menu Bar

It is irritating to scroll up manually through the web page when you are reading a long article. Now you can scroll up without using your hands. Just simply tap the time appears at the top of the screen the it will take you back to the top fo the web page or article.

Though this gesture’s been around for quite some time, some iOS users are still unaware of it. It is a useful and easy shortcut to refresh the page. When you are looking at your Inbox or using an app, pull down the window and you will see an icon or arrouw along the top that indicates that you’ve pulled far enough and now the page is refreshed.

6.Save Images Right from Websites

If you’ve come across a nice picture or image on the web page, just put your finger on the image and hold it for a second or two. Then you will see a menu pops up from the bottom of the screen where you can find the Save image option. Click on the Save image button and the photo will be stored on camera roll.

7.Take Screenshot with Two button

To take a picture of whatever is on the iPhone screen at the moment, you can do it simply by pressing the Home button and Power button together. The screenshot is added to your camera roll.

8.Use Volume Button As Shutter on iPhone

Hold your iPhone horizontally with two hands, and then push down the + button then you can take a stable picture! You can also do it via the volume button on your iPhone headphones.

10.Three-Finger Zoom

First, go to Settings, Accessibility, and then Zoom to turn the feature on. Then you can tap the screen twice with three fingers and you’ll zoom in. This feature can make it easier on the eyes. Everything beneath the zoon region will appear bigger. You can double-tap the screen with three fingers to return to normal view.

11.Swiftly Find Word Definitions

If you come across a word and you don’t know it meaning exactly, you can just tap on it and then tap Define. You can get the answer right there and then.

12.Shake to Untype

If you want to undo what you just typed in messages, iMessages , notes or any typing apps, all you have to do is to shake your iPhone and then the undo prompt will pop up to restore your text.

13.Reveal Timestamps on Text Messages

Drag the text bubble to the left and you’ll see a timestamp for every text message. Among other things, this will show you just how much time you waste texting.
