How to Turn off/on Live Photos on iPhone
Apple introduces a new camera feature with each new iPhone. The iPhone6s and iPhone 6s Plus launched newly in this year are no exception. The biggest new camera feature of this year is what Apple called Live Photos. It is neither a video nor an animated GIF; it’s a Live Photo which is beautiful and awesome than normal photos. If this feature is new to you, you probably want to take an in-depth look at it previously. Here is what you need:
However, there’s a problem with Live Photos: they take up twice as much space as a regular photo and they’ll quickly eat up your new iPhone’s storage if you’re not careful. If you’d like to disable Live Photos ability on the iPhone, or turn it back on again, then here’s how you can turn off/on Live Photos in no time.
Note: The Live Photos feature is switched on by default. And there is an icon in the Camera app that consists of three concentric circles. It is called the Live Photos toggle, which will be yellow when enabled.
How to Turn Off Live Photos on iPhone
Step 1: Launch the Camera app on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus.
Step 2: From the Photo view, you will see a little concentric circle icon on the top of the screen. That’s the Live Photos toggle switch. Simply tap on it to turn it on/off. When the button is yellow, it notes that the feature is ON. When it is white, it notes that feature is OFF.
More Advantages about Disabling Live Photos on iPhone:
- Save storage space.
- Lengthen iPhone’s battery life.
- Improve the camera’s low-light performance.
That’s it! With a press of a button, you can turn Live Photos on or off on your iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus. Now you can take a perfectly still photo with you iPhone.
